The following made me laugh:
Not that either of these medieval/sculptural analogies seem to have occurred to the carload of lairy local youths who roared past me, windows open, music pounding, as I stood on a nearby road bridge photographing the building. “You’re looking at sh*t, mate!” one of them hollered as they disappeared in a haze of tyre smoke.
