Easter Brake
The new Turner build has had to go on hold as I head to Vietnam for Easter. I almost made it, but a few technical issues with the 2x9 set up and the 183mm rear rotor means it'll be May before I'm rolling the new mtb, or putting anything else up on here. The butler just emailed to say he'll pick us up from the airport, so not all bad- Adios!

Libeskind
Not good press for the guy who won the NYC post 9-11 competitions...

Water Towers of Ireland
The economy of the emerald isle might have seen better days, but at least they have nice water towers...

Hope Tour
UK recession = viva la shed tech. I'm just getting around to replacing my Hope brakes circa 2000 with, yes, another pair of Hope brakes. Hopefully they will run to 2022.

Kahn in Lancashire
This could be mistaken for the latest Banyan Tree at first glance, but it is in fact a visitor centre in Lancashire by one of my contemporaries at the Bartlett- Adam Kahn. Amazing work to be building something like so young.

Flux Arrival
A nice cardboard box arrived the other day, containing my new mtb frame- a DW link Turner Flux. First impressions of the build quality are outstanding, and I'm really looking forward to getting her built up. It might be a bit of a work in progress for a few months, but certainly she is shaping up to be a real fun fast bike. I'll bet Paris Roubaix would be a darn sight more comfortable on this than this.

Dim Sum
Some nice drawings by Tim Baynes, including this sketch taken just up the road in Happy Valley at 'Dim Sum'.

Cobbleside
Another year, another round of bike racing over cobbles in Belgium. Last night was a rarity in that I was allowed 3 hours of glorious Eurosport evening sofa action. Despite my weary 5am wake up eyes I was glued to the set on a brilliant finale as the one man Cancellara show failed to materialise. Nick Neuyans is unlikely to go down in memory as one of the great winners of this race, but at least we had suspense until the end. More importantly, one day I will be cobbleside with my beer & frites... Rose tinted image stolen from:

Flux
This will be winging it's way to me shortly... A no carbon, no nonsense, hand made mountain bike frame.
