Warhol Mandarin

Apologies for posting about an exhibition that closed yesterday, but the above is a nice image all the same. It depicts Andy Warhol circa 1982 looking out from the Mandarin Oriental in Central Hong Kong. Although this was only 30 years ago, it looks like a different world out of that window. There's not a lot of point in dwelling on the exhibition other than to say 15 Minutes Eternal was a pleasant surprise, with a far deeper presentation of Warhol and his life that I, at least, have seen before. The 'Time Capsule' (Apple patent?!?) covering his HK & Beijing visit was of particular interest. Yes, he did go to Ascot Chang for his shirts. Some things really do not change.
