Drawing: Westin Macau

This weekend past was full of dancing with the showgirls in Macau whilst staying at the old Westin- a strange mix of 60s Brutalism and Po-mo Spanish. I focused on the former in my attempts to capture. With a little help from my friend....

Drawings: Hong Kong Velodrome

Today was a somewhat momentous occasion in the history of Hong Kong cycling, as a group of 40 riders registered with HKCA managed to become the first public riders to grace the boards of the new Hong Kong Velodrome. One of which was me! A strict 'no photos' policy was in place, given the track doesn't open officially until another few weeks. But they didn't say 'no drawings'. A new track era has begun!

Drawings: The Imperial

Any hotel that employs a full time fly swatter is good in my book, and The Imperial did not disappoint. High tea would also seem to be an increasingly Asian specific specialty, not to mention the curry! Full link to Delhi photo bank here.

Quarry Bay

Look Up, Look Down. The thought that goes into a Hong Kong roof's planning often exceeds that of the the building's elevation.

Statue Sq.

I really don't do enough drawings around Hong Kong- a bit like reading it has become more of a holiday activity (discounting the more professional variety...). But as with my New Year's Resolution to read more books in 2013, I think I should also draw more. This only took 20 minutes and was a nice head clearing space between finishing work and going out for dinner- I guess it pays to keep the moleskin in the man bag.... Also nice to have a proper scanner at home at last!

Sugoroku

It's been a while since I put any shipping container related buildings up. Loving the idea that you can pick this up and drop it somewhere else when your lease expires:

Sky Tree vs. Shopping Bike

Well it doesn't get much more bikesandbuildings than this then does it? Would like to say it's my drawing. But, talent aside, I could never get so interested in such a sh*t bike. And I guess Tokyo sky tree is not my favorite building either. But a cool drawing!
